Hardly “Amazing” if  “Lightning” strikes twice

Japan`s World Boxing Council light flyweight champion, Ken “The Amazing Boy” Shiro (15-0 / 8Kos), will make the sixth defense of his title against the official WBC challenger, Filipino southpaw contender, Jonathan “Lightning” Taconing (28-3 -1 / 22KOs).

The fight will be on July 12 at the Osaka Edion Arena in Osaka city, Japan.

After a short break, it`s a fillip to the slender left-hander to have another chance to contest the WBC crown. Taconing, aged 32, who started boxing at age 14, is confident that it`s his fulfilling destiny to be  crowned champion in Japan.

“This is my moment. I arrive at this fight with a lot of experience and wanting to do things right. We are going to accomplish the perfect fight, in order to bring the Green and gold Belt back to the Philippines,” he declared.
