Eight-division world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao might be deep in his boxing training for his upcoming title fight against reigning WBA (Super) Welterweight World Champion Keith Thurman on July 20th (July 21st, Manila time), the boxer-turned-lawmaker isn’t neglecting his duties as a Senator in the Philippines.

Even while half the world away, Pacquiao was able to file a number of bills including Homeland Security among others.

“We actually filed 10 priority bills in the Senate, including Death Penalty, Homeland Security, and other bills,” Pacquiao shared with ABS-CBN’s Steve Angeles.

Even after his world title bout against Thurman in Las Vegas, there won’t be time to relax for Pacquiao, as he is expected to head right back home in order to fulfill other Senatorial duties, such as turning in his vote for the next Senate President before the President’s next State of the Nation Address.

With the vote happening on July 22nd, just a day after his bout with Thurman, Pacquiao will be flying right back home after media duties.
