On this day in history, Oliver McCall defeated the great Lennox Lewis in one of the greatest boxing upsets in all history.

Oliver McCall landed a powerful right hand during round 2 that sent Lennox straight to the canvass; despite Lewis was able to get up, referee Guadalupe Garcia considered he was not able to continue fighting.

Lennox lose his unbeaten record but would return stronger than ever. He is now considered one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time.
