 Keith Mullings upset Terry “Terrible” Norris to win the WBC super welterweight title. Mullings, with only one win in his previous six fights, was a 10-1 underdog. However, the “Brooklyn Assassin” forced a ninth round TKO, wrecking the three-time champion’s plans of a lucrative showdown with Oscar de La Hoya.
