The World Boxing Council lightweight champion, Belgian Delfine Persoon, will unify her crown against 2012 Olympic champion Irish Katie Taylor, in an tremendous battle to be held on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The 34-year-old Persoon has a phenomenal and exceptional record of 43 wins studded with 18 knockouts and only one loss. She`s been  champion for five years, making nine successful defenses.

This will be the first time that Delfine fights outside Europe when she goes up against Taylor to define the supreme best 135-pounder in the world.

Taylor (13-0 6KOs) aged thirty two, won  her first world title in just her seventh professional fight. The relished much anticipated fight  will be part of the card starring by Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz Jr.
