First Golden Boy said that GGG will have to earn another shot at the number one draw and cash cow of boxing Canelo Alvarez. Then after DAZN forced Golden Boys hand, Golden Boy offered a SOFT fight to Triple G saying the fight would have to be in the one place GGG doesn’t want the fight – Vegas.

Prior to that, they called out Errol Spence in order to use as much leverage against GGG as possible. When PBC didn’t bite, Golden Boy called out boxers in the 147, 154, 160, 168 & the 175 pound divisions.

Thinking on taking on a past his prime 175 pound champion, they called out Sergey Kovalev late in the process. They thought that Kovalev would cancel his homecoming fight, lose a ton of money just because the name Canelo was being mentioned.

Golden Boy have had the September 14th date Set for Canelo for over a year, shame on them, are they that cheap to squeeze every cent from every contender.

They called out Callum Smith, yet never contacted him for a fight.

The young buck, Demetrius Andrade is available, but they run the risk of having the fight be three times more boring then the Jacobs Fight Canelo just had. Golden Boy knows that Canelo is on the verge of simply becoming boring by fighting easy targets like Rocky Fielding or talented runners like Daniel Jacobs.

Canelo and Golden Boy are going to have to step up one final time and fight Gennady Golovkin out of there comfort zone ( Sin City).

Canelo needs to show that he is willing to truly fight anyone. That will excite the boxing public and will enable him to capture the sport like few ever have.
