The Oleksandr Gvozdyk (17-0, 14KOs) vs Artur Beterbiev (14-0, 14KOs) Light Heavyweight Unification Showdown is on.

Top Rank is planning a huge night of boxing @ the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia On October 18th; Headlined by this terrific fight which features two undefeated 175 pound world champions ready for Stardom.

Ukraine’s Gvozdyk stopped light Heavyweight King Adonis Stevenson in 11 rounds recording a vicious KO last December. In March, Gvozdyk faced awkward African contender Doudou Ngumbu and quite honestly showed more holes in his game then a Swiss cheese wheel.

Doudou Ngumbu had some weird leg injury in the 5th round, losing his golden opportunity at a title and losing to Gvozdyk in the 5th round.

Artur Beterbiev has 14 knockouts in 14 fights. Beterbiev has been mowing down all Opponents and expects nothing less this October in Philly.

Make no mistake, their is major pressure on Gvozdyk and Hall of Fame trainer Teddy Atlas. It will be very interesting to see Atlas’s game plan unfold as Gvozdyk faces adversity in the ring.
