Cuban Yordenis Ugás fights  former WBC lightweight champion, Omar Figueroa, in  a welterweight elimination bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, on July 20.

Ugás (23-4, 11 KOs), has been one of the most outstanding welterweight contenders fighting three times in 2017 and 2018. Ugás had an eight-win streak before losing a close split decision against WBC Welterweight Champion Shawn Porter.

Undefeated  Figueroa has a record of 28 wins with 19 knockouts and only one draw. In his most recent fight he defeated John Molina Jr by decision.

The victor  of this match, will face the winner of the much anticipated fight between World Boxing Council champion Shawn Porter and IBF champion Errol Spence.
