The distinctive dates of September 15 and May 5 have evolved into a great tradition for world boxing, as year after year fantastic  fights have been held with the participation of the best of the best.

The WBC has joined these celebrations with the creation of the “Adolfo López Mateos” Commemorative Belt,  which is presented as a special accolade  celebrating  Mexico festivities which are directly related to boxing.

On May 4, Saul Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs, contested  the “Maya I” commemorative belt that was made by artisans. It`s a unique masterpiece which symbolically represents the eighteen centuries of Mayan Culture in the Year of the Mayans.

Now with the creation of second edition Mayan belt, we want you the fans to help decide in what fight this special piece should be contested.
