World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, will face American Daniel Jacobs, in the main battle of a mega card on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas , Nevada.

Accompanied by their teams, the final press conference took place, and  both showed great confidence in victory  this Saturday.

“Everything that had to be said has already been mentioned … I am only waiting for the weekend. I am a fighter who adapts to anything and he will give me the guidelines to see what we have to do, but I know that I will be able to the victory. Daniel Jacobs will not stop me, ” Canelo Alvarez. He  reaches this fight with a record of 50-1-2, 34 knockouts.

“Outside of Floyd Mayweather I’m the only opponent Canelo has faced at his best, I’m going to make it clear that I’m the best fighter at 160 pounds and this week I’m going to prove it,” Jacobs added (35-2, 29 KOs).

As if that were not enough, in this anticipated  fight there will be at stake the Mayan WBC belt. This belt represents the 18 centuries of Mayan culture well known through its hieroglyphic writing, art, architecture, remarkable numerical systems, astronomy, mathematics and understanding of ecology.

This art was done by Mexican hands. It  has a gold bath, resins with jade powder, in addition to containing the figure of the Kukalkan and the jaguar, among 19 symbols surrounding the logo of the World Boxing Council.
