Joe Joyce and Bermane Stiverne came ready to fight. This two heavyweights put on a show in the first round letting the leather fly. I thought Joyce won the first round by activity and aggressiveness but Stiverne landed some monster shots. I think Joyce is fighting the wrong fight trying to walk down Stiverne so early in the fight. Joyce isn’t giving Stiverne much respect and that might be a mistake. He might be trying to outdo Wilder, who knocked out Stiverne in the 1st round of there second fight.

Round 2. Wow, Joyce really unloads with Stiverne taking heavy shots through the round, Stiverne already out of gas with his hands down and no movement, he almost looks like a punching bag. Joyce dominated round two to the point that Stiverne lost all the steam on his punches. Looks to me like the 3rd round will be the last.

Round 3. Stiverne gets knocked down for the fifth time in his career in the first 45 seconds of the round. He gets back up and makes one last stand throwing  looping shots and giving it whatever he has left. Stiverne weather’s the storm and gets to live for another round.

Round 4. Stiverne catches a second wind and actually looks like a Boxer. He still lost the round but he is fighting for his life like a Warrior. He’s fighting Joyce and also himself because he is very very tired.

Round 5. Joyce boxing beautifully now, mixing up his punches and bouncing around the ring like a middleweight.

Round 6. Joyce using good distance really landing his shots hard and giving Stiverne no chance to land. Game over, the Ref Stopped the Fight. Great Stoppage!!!

Once Big Baby Miller gets destroyed by Anthony Joshua on June 1st, I think Stiverne versus Miller would be a riveting action packed fight. Stiverne versus Miller would be a very entertaining fight, I think Miller is Tailor-made for Stiverne because Miller doesn’t have much power, is very slow, doesn’t have the experience to avoid Stiverne’s power and doesn’t have The stamina to take Stiverne into Deepwater.

There’s a New player in the Heavyweight Division, and his name is Joe Joyce.
