Taking place at The Claridge Hotel Rising Stars proprietor Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna fought in the headliner scoring an eight round unanimous decision victory. At that time Thomas was an up and coming prospect. In 2015 the state of New Jersey had hosted less than a half dozen boxing promotions. Rising Star Promotions blazed a trail that other boxing promoters followed.
Today New Jersey professional pugilism is thriving. Now the fight game in NJ will only improve as Cornflake hangs up his gloves and focuses on staging future shows. After sixteen years of swapping leather, Thomas Cornflake Lamanna leaves the squared circle with a 40-6-1 19 Ko’s
While LaManna has successfully operated Rising Star Promotions since 2015, this move marks a deeper commitment to growing the business model and helping fighters build respectable careers
Throughout his professional vocation, LaManna competed on nationally televised cards and dealt with fighters, managers to promoters, matchmakers, and industry executives. Rising Star Promotions is determined to develop its brand by collaboration with these individuals. As a promoter Lamanna will work alongside established industry partners having a goal of assisting fighters move from club shows to global events.
“I’ve been in those locker rooms and I know how hard it is to get real opportunities,” said LaManna.
“I take the relationships I’ve built very seriously, and now it’s about using them the right way to help the next generation.”
With multiple events and appearances slated throughout the year, Rising Star Promotions forges ahead by staying active strategizing future endeavors that continue materializing..
“Everything we’re doing is calculated, ” LaManna added.
“We’re putting the pieces together the right way and making sure when opportunities come, our fighters and the company are ready.
